Career Site settings

The settings area of the career site builder. This part of the career site builder is used for setting up general back-end settings of the specific site, e.g. ip access, languages, meta tags and other.

General

The settings area is accessed by pressing the cogwheel icon (career-site3.png) at the top of the pages area. It is important that you are aware that certain settings can have implications. Activating IP-access or activating a custom domain can cause a lockout from the editor if set up wrong.

Layout

The Layout tab is used to create different layouts for the page. The selected layout is the main design of the standard elements/pages for the site, including: navigation bar styling, job ad page, full site HTML/CSS/JavaScript.

Options for layouts on the settings tab are: Copy, Delete, Edit. The option to delete will disappear if the site only has one layout.

Styling elements

The Styling Elements tab is used to define site wide Colors, Font and Logo. These options will only be functional when viewing a layout using the correct “@color”, “@font“, “@image” parameters in the HTML and CSS.

Navigation

Separate pages and Scroll pages will make the site a full-scroll page- each page created will be inserted at the bottom part of the site and the navigation links in the navigation bar will cause the page to scroll instead of redirecting.

Meta Tags

The Meta Tags tab is used to define meta/shared description, title, image and Favicon. Each page can use the same setup or can be defined to have unique tags.

These options will only be functional when viewing a site without meta tags defined under Layouts+HTML <head>.

When setting up Meta Tags, the default settings will be the meta settings for all pages, unless a custom set up is chosen for a specific page.

Note

Turning on the ticker for each language will make a pencil edit icon appear and pressing this icon will open a page with the code box.

Site address

The site address tab is used to define the domain for the site, including a custom domain. Adding a custom domain requires an SSL certificate.

Important

It needs to be set up with either an implementations agent or a support agent, as an incorrect activation of a custom domain can cause that the site to be inaccessible.

Warning

If the certificate provided has an expiry date, then we need a new certificate and key sent to our support which can take up to five work days to update certificate. Informing the support team in good time is best practice as an expired certificate will make the site unreachable until the certificate has been updated.

Access

The Access tab is used to define who has access to the job media. A career site will create a media where a job can be published, and defining access here will specify which roles can promote to the career site.

IP access

The IP access tab is used to define an IP range that can access the career site.

Warning

Adding an IP range can cause the career site to be inaccessible if an incorrect range is defined and saved.
