Start a feedback process

In this article, you can learn how to start a feedback process within Emply.

Follow the steps below to start a feedback process for:

Start a feedback process for an employee

To be able to use feedback for an employee, you would need a specific set of permissions:

  • If you need to be able to create feedback in general for an employee, you will need the permission to do this. This can be set up in the Settings > Account > Roles > Functionality > Employees > Feedback > Create/Edit/Delete feedback set to AllCustom or Own.
  • If you need to be able to fill out feedback for an employee, you will need access to the Full employee profile. This can be set up in the Settings > Account > Roles > Functionality > Employees > Organization > Full employee profile set to AllCustom or Own.
  • Finally, you also need access to the Feedback in question. This access can be set up in the Settings > Feedback > open the correct type > adjust the access in the Access column.

1. Go to main menu - Employees

2. From the list of employees, select the ones you wish to send a feedback form. Click on the burger menu at the bottom and select Feedback.

3. In the pop-up, select the necessary information

Type: Select the correct feedback type from the dropdown list.

Feedback: Based on the type you selected, choose the correct feedback form from the dropdown list.

Subject: This section is locked because you have selected the employees in the previous step.

Due date: Here you have the option to enter a due date with time and possibly a reminder. For the reminder it is possible to choose between minutes, days or weeks before the due date of the feedback. Read more about due date here.

Click on Forward to send the feedback e-mail containing the feedback form.

4. Select an e-mail template and Forward the email

The recipient(s) will receive an e-mail containing the link to the feedback form.
Learn how to create e-mail templates in the article Create/edit a message template.

NOTE: For the message template to be available for feedbacks, make sure you select Forward feedback in the Area.

5. Or if you wish to fill out the feedback form for an employee, open the correct employee profile. Hover over the burger menu and select Feedback

6. In the pop-up, select the necessary information

Type: Select the correct feedback type from the dropdown list.

Feedback: Based on the type you selected, choose the correct feedback form from the dropdown list.

Subject: This section is locked because you have selected the employee in the previous step.

Due date: Here you have the option to enter a due date with time and possibly a reminder. For the reminder it is possible to choose between minutes, days or weeks before the due date of the feedback. Read more about due date here.

Click on Fill out to complete the feedback for the employee. To learn how to fill out a feedback form. go to article Fill out a feedback form
Click on Forward to send the feedback e-mail containing the feedback form.

7. If you select Fill out, the content of the feedback form becomes available

When filling out the feedback form you can use the Back button to go to the previous page. With the Save draft button you can safe the form if you're not done and continue when you like. When you're done click Send.

The feedback along with the answers will be available on the onboarding profile in the tab Feedback:

8. Or if you select Forward, choose an e-mail template and send the email

The recipient(s) will receive an e-mail containing the link to the feedback form.

Start a feedback process for an onboarding profile

To be able to use feedback for an onboarding profile, you would need a specific set of permissions:

  • If you need to be able to create feedback in general for an onboarding profile, you will need the permission to do this. This can be set up in the Settings > Account > Roles > Functionality > Onboarding > Feedback > Create/Edit/Delete feedback set to AllCustom or Own.
  • If you need to be able to fill out feedback for onboarding profiles, you will need access to those profiles. This can be set up in the Settings > Account > Roles > Functionality > Onboarding > Processes set to AllCustom or Own.
  • Finally, you also need access to the Feedback in question. This access can be set up in the Settings > Feedback > open the correct type > adjust the access in the Access column.

2. From the list of onboarding profiles in a specific flow, select the ones you wish to send a feedback form. Click on the burger menu at the bottom and select Feedback.

3. In the pop-up, select the necessary information

Feedback: Based on the type you selected, choose the correct feedback form from the dropdown list.

Subject: This section is locked because you have selected the employees in the previous step.

Click on Forward to send the feedback e-mail containing the feedback form.

4. Select an e-mail template and Forward the email

5. Or if you wish to fill out the feedback form for an onboarding profiles, open the correct one. Hover over the burger menu and select Feedback

Click on Forward to send the feedback e-mail containing the feedback form.

7. If you select Fill out, the content of the feedback form becomes available

When filling out the feedback form you can use the Back button to go to the previous page. With the Save draft button you can safe the form if you're not done and continue when you like. When you're done click Send.

The feedback along with the answers will be available on the onboarding profile in the tab Feedback:

8. Or if you select Forward, choose a Trigger Delay and an e-mail template and send the email

Start a feedback process for a candidate

To be able to use feedback for an employee or candidate, you would need a specific set of permissions:

  • If you need to be able to create feedback in general for a candidate, you will need the permission to do this. This can be set up in the Settings > Account > Roles > Functionality > Recruitment > Feedback > Create/Edit/Delete feedback set to AllCustom or Own.
  • If you need to be able to fill out feedback for candidate profiles, you will need access to those profiles. This can be set up in the Settings > Account > Roles > Functionality > Recruitment > Candidates set to AllCustom or Own.
  • Finally, you also need access to the Feedback in question. This access can be set up in the Settings > Feedback > open the correct type > adjust the access in the Access column.

2. Open a job and select the candidate you wish to send the feedback to in the Candidates tab. Click on the burger menu at the bottom and select Feedback.

4. Create your e-mail and Forward it

5. Or if you wish to fill out the feedback form for a candidate, open the correct candidate profile. Hover over the burger menu and select Feedback.
