Create/edit departments

Manually create a new department in Emply People.

  1. Navigate to Settings+Account+Departments.

  2. Click New department to create a new department or mark and edit an already existing department.

  3. Fill in the information about the department.

    Important

    You must at least fill in: Title and Parent department.

    Under Parent department, you choose where in your business structure the department belongs.

    If the data in the new department deviates from the master data (e.g. address), it must be edited here.

  4. To add an address for a department, click the Add location button.

    Note

    Please note that the ID will change depending on the location of the department.

  5. Fill out the details specific to the location, ex. add cost center. If the department should have its own cost center for allocating costs, enter it here.

    If the company is Danish and operating financially independent, a P-number should be entered.

  6. Click Save when all data for the new departments is filled out.

The department is now created or edited.
