Emply's export module
Emply's export function allows you to create different export files for documents, Excel/CSV and JSON.
The export module can be found under Settings > Integrations > Export:
Here you will see an overview of different export files, which can also be grouped into folders.
When creating a new export file, click '+ New export'. Here you will get the following 3 options:
Examples of these files include employment contracts, master data and salary data.
All three types of export use keywords so that you can easily and quickly build the template, and the file itself is generated based on the selected keywords when it is exported.
Creating export files
Document
An example of a document export could be an employment contract for candidates and/or employees. Here you upload an export document by clicking Upload file.
In the file you upload, you can use keywords so this data is automatically filled in when exporting, as the employee/candidate may have already filled in some data.
To find the keywords, click on Keywords. From the overview, you can press the green plus next to a given keyword and it will be copied to your clipboard, which you can paste into your export document.
Below is an example of an export document:
For further explanation on setting up document export, see the following article on Create export file - document.
Excel/CSV
An example of an Excel/CSV export can be master data on employees and/or candidates.
It is also possible to use the Excel/CSV export function to use it as an export to payroll, so that the file can be selected when creating a payroll group. To do this, select 'Use as export to payroll system':
Next, create/select export data by selecting existing data elements to be included in the export file or create export data that is filled in before the export file is generated.
Finish by clicking Save.
For further explanation on setting up Excel/CSV exports, see the following guide on Create export file - Excel/CSV.
JSON Package
An export of JSON Package can, for example, be an export of salary data on employees, but it is also possible to export data on candidates.
When creating the export file, you specify an internal description, choose whether it concerns employees and/or candidates, and select the necessary keywords.
Below is an example of how to set up the merge fields for a salary data export file:
At the bottom of the template setup you will find a GUID, which is used to test the call in Emply's API at api.emply.com. Make sure you create an API key under Settings > Integrations > API.
