Learn about view tab permissions

Learn about the permissions under the Views tab under Settings+Account+Roles where you can define which views a user with this role has in the Employees, Onboarding, or Recruitment modules.

Note

In order to customize the view for Employees, Onboarding, and Recruitment, this role needs to have to the three modules.

Access can be granted in the Employees+Onboarding+Recruitment modules.

These icons are used in the view tab as listed below:

  • Building icon "All": Enable for full access to the specific sections or elements on the employee profile.

  • Gear icon "Custom": Customize the ability to the specific sections or elements on the employee profile to match a specific criterion.

  • Person icon "Own": Users will only be able to see these sections or elements for their own employee profile.

  • Eye icon: Deny this role the ability to see the specific sections or elements on the employee profile.

  • Four icons Manage widget: Become active when you have created a tab.

The steps are applicable to the Full employee profile, Organization view, Onboarding profile, and Job Overview.

  • Customize the preferences and visualization options for employee profiles, organization view, onboarding profile, or job overview.

    • New tab: This button creates new tab on the employee profile. Enter a title and click Save.

      Note

      If your Emply People account is available in different languages, you must enter a title for all the languages you have available.

    • Manage widgets: Manage widgets within a tab and define which information should be available in the tabs you created by clicking the +.

      If you need to change the availabilities at a later point, click on the pencil.

      If you need to move the widgets around, click on the four arrows icon.

      Note

      This is available for Full employee profile, Onboarding, andCandidate Overview.

      • To modify access to the widget, click on the icons to limit access as explained above.

      Note

      If you ever need to retrieve the default view, click on Default view under Sorting.

Specific tab customization

Note

For this to work, the role should also have access to the creation of meetings and tasks. There permissions can be found in Functionality+Employees+Calendar or Functionality+Employee+Tasks.

  • Employees: Access to the full employee profiles, simple employee profiles, and the organization overview in the HR management module. Customize views for Documents, Skills, Feedback, Messages, Activity and any other tab you have manually added.

Select Overview

  1. Click on the tab of interest which can be: Organization view, Onboarding, or Talent pool review.

  2. Customize the types of overview in the hierarchy, the cards, and the list view. You can toggle the button next to it to make it available or not.

    Important

    The picture may look different from your interface depending on which tab you are in, but the functions are similar.

    • Ascending/Descending: Select the order in which the information should appear.

    • View: Toggle the option for different viewing styles.

  3. Determine whether the settings option should available or not in the gear icon.

  4. Some of the pages will provide customization based on the icons, as explained at the beginning of the article, so click the icon as needed for your preferences.
