This guide describes how to set up absence data to be sent from Lessor Workforce via PEIP, as well as how the absence data is received in Lessor Payroll after it is sent.
Lessor Workforce can send absence data to PEIP, which is received in Lessor Payroll. Absences are sent exclusively from Lessor Workforce to Lessor Payroll and not the other way around. Newly created absences are sent when the user generates the submission, and changes to or deletions of absences that have already been sent will be sent automatically once the change has been approved or the deletion has been made.
Note
If you are an existing Lessor Workforce customer who is accustomed to creating absence files in Lessor Workforce and importing them into Lessor Payroll, the pay types for the absences will be the same in both systems. Therefore, no additional setup of absences in Lessor Workforce will be required to send absences to PEIP. To receive this absence data in Lessor Payroll, you’ll need to configure the absence settings in Lessor Payroll under Setup – System Definition – API Setup – Absences.
If you are a new Lessor Workforce customer who has not previously created absence files in Lessor Workforce, the absence setup in Lessor Workforce must be based on which absences are to be received in Lessor Payroll. In order for absences to be sent to PEIP, the following setup is required:
-
The absence must be linked to a wage type under ++.
-
The absence must be set with at least one check mark in Export as T / D (hours or days) in the pay group under +++.
-
Absences must be configured in each pay grade to allow for export.
Warning
Absences are not mapped from Lessor Payroll to Lessor Workforce via PEIP; therefore, if a new absence type is created and you want that absence to be sent from Lessor Workforce to Lessor Payroll, you must set up the absence in both Lessor Workforce and Lessor Payroll using an identical wage type.
