Use the app

This guide explains the key features of the Lessor Workforce app.

This guide is intended to support everyday use for the average user (User permission profile), and the app is available for both iPhone and Android. The images in this guide were taken using an iPhone. There may therefore be some differences when using an Android device.

This guide walks you through the app's Home screen, Shift Overview, Create Entries, Assign/Request, and Release Shifts.

You can find the app installation guide under Help with logging in

Note

Profile and balances are not explained in this guide, as you can find instructions for these in the Help Center at Edit Profile and View your balance

Find StartPage

The Startpage gives you a comprehensive overview of the app's general features.

You can find unread messages, send messages, find available shifts, view your own shifts, and much more.

Depending on the setup your company has chosen, you can also perform a simple check-in/check-out on the Startpage if you have the appropriate permissions.

As you explore the app and want to return to the front page/home screen, you can always tap the burger icon in the upper-left corner and select the Startpage tab.

Now we need to find the app's menu items.

  • Log in to the Lessor Workforce app and tap the hamburger button.

    2026-08-06_14_20_34-Chat___Mie_Rener__You____Microsoft_Teams.png

You will now see the app's menu options, where you can access the tabs for your profile, view your balances, view all shifts, view your registrations, and view your requests for things like time off or shift swaps.

Find Your Scheduled Shifts/Absences

Under the Scheduled tab, you can view your shifts, release or transfer shifts, request available shifts, and view your absences.

Note

You can also view your scheduled shifts (green dot) in the calendar overview on the Startpage.

  • Tap the Scheduled tab

    2026-06-08_13_20_09-Chat___Mie_Rener__You____Microsoft_Teams.png

You have now clicked on Scheduled and will now see two different types of overviews.

    • Calendar

The Calendar Overview lets you see an overview of an entire month. The overview shows your shifts (colored line), your requested/approved time off (light yellow), and available shifts (light green dotted line). See the example below.

If you tap on a shift, all relevant information about that shift will be displayed, and if you have the appropriate permissions, you can release the shift or transfer/release the shift (permission #2000).

When you release or transfer your shift, it will now appear under My Requests in your app.

If you have transferred a shift to a coworker, the request will appear under your coworker’s Available Shifts tab. When your coworker views the shift, they will see that it was originally yours, and they can choose to request the transferred shift.

      2026-08-04_10_44_49-Chat___Mie_Rener__You____Microsoft_Teams.png

If you'd like a different view, you can customize it under Filters. See the example below.

      2026-07-29_15_36_46-Chat___Mie_Rener__You____Microsoft_Teams.png
    • List

If you'd like a more chronological overview, you can use the List tab. This feature allows you to display the My Shifts, Available Shifts, and My Absences tabs.

My Shifts shows your upcoming shifts. When you tap a shift, you'll see information about it.

Available shifts shows the available shifts you can request or take over.

My absence reflects the absence that either yourself or your manager has entered.

      Caution

To view available/released shifts, you must enable permission #2170 in your permission profile.

      Note

Please note that, unlike in the browser version, the app does not show whether an absence request has been approved or not.

      Notice

If you see a warning ( i ) based on your approved or unapproved absence, as shown in the example below, it is because there is a comment or note associated with it.

View your registrations in the app

When you click the Registrations tab, you can view an overview of the days on which you or your manager have registered time.

The overview shows your time registrations, absence registrations, and mileage registrations.

Caution

Please note that the overview you see on the Startpage and the overview you see under the Registrations tab are not the same.

The Startpage shows you all events related to your shifts, clock-ins, scheduled absences, and scheduled mileages.

The registrations tab shows only your registrations, so your shifts (green dots) do not appear on this tab.

  • Tap Registrations.

    2026-07-28_13_31_22-Chat___Mie_Rener__You____Microsoft_Teams.png

You are now viewing your summary for the month of July.

The image below shows your registrations marked with a blue dot on the calendar.

Your registrations can also be viewed directly on the Startpage. The different registrations will be indicated by dots of different colors.

    Caution

Enable permission #2165 to view unapproved registrations (blue dot) on the Startpage tab in the app.

However, shifts, driving, and absences will still be visible (as colored dots) regardless of the permission level.

    2026-08-07_12_25_38-Chat___Mie_Rener__You____Microsoft_Teams.png

If the registration goes through without any problems, you have now successfully created a time registration in the app.

Your manager can now view your registration, and you can also view it in your app under the Registrations tab or on the Startpage.

    Caution

Enable permission #2165 to view unapproved registrations (blue dot) on the Startpage tab in the app.

However, shifts, mileages, and absences will still be visible (as colored dots) regardless of the permission level.

Submit an absence request through the app

You can submit an absence request through the Lessor Workforce app.

Caution

To create an absence request, permission #2700 must be enabled. Requests for past dates or the current date are #2760 and #2750.

Caution

If you are unable to create an absence request through the app, there may be several reasons for this. These reasons are described in the administrator guide Create Absences and Customize Pay Groups.

  1. Tap + (the blue plus sign) to open the menu, where you can select the Absence request tab.

    2026-08-12_15_52_37-Chat___Mie_Rener__You____Microsoft_Teams.png
  2. A form will now appear, asking you to decide whether you want to create an absence request based on hours, a full-day absence, or for a specific period.

In the example below, a full-day absence has been selected, with sickness chosen as the absence type, and a note has been attached to the absence record.

The drop-down menu Absence Type below shows you the types of absences associated with your pay group, which you can then request.

    2026-08-13_11_00_45-2026-08-13_10_58_28-Chat___Mie_Rener__You____Microsoft_Teams_png.png
  3. If you click on Absence Type, you'll see the absences you can choose from.

    Caution

If the page is blank, you do not have permission to request absence.

    2026-08-13_09_21_44-Chat___Mie_Rener__You____Microsoft_Teams.png
  4. When you have finished filling out your absence request, tab Create.

Congratulations! You have now submitted your absence request.

The absence request is now pending approval by your manager and can be found under the Scheduled and My Requests tabs in the app.

Transfer or release a shift via the app

In the Lessor Workforce app, you can transfer a shift to a coworker or release one of your own shifts.

Caution

Please note that you may encounter various issues when handing over a shift to a colleague if:

  • The colleague is on duty that same day, even though there is no overlap between the shifts

  • A coworker is violating a rule regarding working hours

  • The colleague has a scheduled absence

  • The colleague is no longer in the same department or has a termination date listed on their employee record

  1. Tap the Startpage tab, then tap Scheduled to find the shift you want to transfer or release.

    2026-08-12_14_16_52-Chat___Mie_Rener__You____Microsoft_Teams.png
  2. Tap the shift you want to release or transfer.

Select either the Calendar or List view to find the shift you want to release or transfer.

The List view is selected below.

    2026-08-12_14_19_00-Chat___Mie_Rener__You____Microsoft_Teams.png

You will now see the options Transfer or Release.

    Note

To release or transfer your shift via the app, you must enable permission #2000.

    Note

If permission #2150 is enabled, your colleague can accept or take the shift directly without approval from a manager or admin.

    2026-08-12_14_19_43-Chat___Mie_Rener__You____Microsoft_Teams.png
  3. If you click Release, your shift will be released pending approval from your manager.

If you tap Transfer, a list of colleagues to whom you can transfer the shift will appear, as shown below. When you transfer the shift to a colleague, the request will now appear under your colleague's Available Shifts tab.

If you transfer a shift to, for example, Anne Rasmussen, the shift will still be visible in your app until Anne Rasmussen has accepted the shift under her Available Shifts tab and your manager has approved the transfer under the manager's Shift Management tab.

My Requests in the App

In the app, there may be various reasons why you have requests listed under the My Requests tab.

Requests will appear if, for example, you have assigned a shift to another colleague, or if you have requested time off or to be released from your own shift.

If there are requests in this tab, it means that the request is ready for approval by your manager.

  • Tap the My Requests tab to view all your requests in the app.

    2026-07-31_13_12_04-Chat___Mie_Rener__You____Microsoft_Teams.png

You are now viewing a summary of all requests awaiting approval.

    Note

Once approved by a manager, the shift and the absence will appear under the Scheduled tab in the app, under My Shifts or My Absences.

Below is an example from the app showing a request for vacation time, a request to transfer a shift, and a request to release a shift. With the appropriate permissions, you can delete or cancel your requests at any time.
