In Emply employees can change time blocks from the standard regular work schedule and add more time blocks. For all or selected payroll groups, managers and admins can enable a requirement for managers to approve the change when time registration differs from the employees regular schedule.
Prerequistites

Approval of tracked time has been enabled for your payroll group, see Toggle time tracking on and off for individual payroll groups.

The employees regular time schedule has been set up, see Create and edit your regular work schedule.

The employee has edited a time block in your regular schedule or added a new time block, see Add and edit your work time.
When approval is enabled, an approval will only be requested when time blocks are changed or added compared to the regular work schedule. Time registration according to the regular schedule will not require approval.

Approve a change or addition in time tracking

As an approver, you will receive a notification in the Emply Messages system. You can access your messages from the in top-right of the screen or from the Messages tile on the Dashboard, see Add or edit tiles and widgets on the dashboard to add the Messages tile.

Open the relevant message and click the link to the changed time block.

Select in the dialogue and click , if you want to accept the changed or added time block.

Select , optionally add a comment and click , if you do not want to accept the changed or added time block.
When the request is approved it will appear to the employee as any time block from the regular work schedule.

When you have edited a time block or added a new one, a request will be sent to your manager, or any other person registered as the approver for your payroll group.
In the Emply , you will see a yellow marking on the time block, until your manager has taken action.
If your manager rejects the change, you will see a red marking on the time block. Your manager will have the option to write a comment explaining why it was rejected.
If your manager accepts the change, no colored marking will appear, and the time block will appear the same way as any of the time blocks created by your regular schedule.
